Winter Learning Journey

Hello every one. Today we started to do some of the actives from the winter learning journey. 

The winter learning journey is lots of actives that you can do in the school holidays. There is a summer learning journey, an autumn learning journey and a spring learning journey. 

Today we had to do an actives. I did this game where you have to try find the thief. The game was called Carmen Sandiego. You get clues and you can fly from country to country.

Cloze

Kia ora. Today I am going to be sharing my cloze with you all.  

The name of the cloze that we had to do this week is called Up The Guts. 

A cloze is were my teacher Miss Scott goes onto an app on her computer, and she picks a part of a story and takes some of the words out of it, then she puts the words that she took out on the side and we have to put them back in the right place.  

100 Word Count

Kia ora people. This week we had to do our 100 word count. The prompt that we had to use was a sentence, the sentence was  I’m trying to hold on,’ he shouted

I had exactly 100 words.I hope you enjoy reading my story.

“Ahh hold on” I shouted. 

“Help, help, help, help, help, help, help” Came from a boy's voice. 

“Hold on” I kept shouting.

"L’m trying to hold on", he shouted. “I can’t hold on for any longer.” I was shouting a million times.

 A voice I have never heard before said, “ We're coming.”  

“Help Help Help,” I shouted but nobody could hear me. Oh no what's that. “ A shark, a shark, a shark, help, help, help the shark is going to bite my arm off, help, help help! My arm, my arm, it's gone,”  I never got found and I died.

Wake up wake up we're going on a holiday pack your bags. I got up with excitement but I really wanted to know where we were going, I was hoping that we would go on an airplane. Once everybody packed their bags we all put our bags in the car and got in the car and we left to go to the airport. We got on the airplane and after a while we laned. We went to a national park. We walked around the whole national park. Then we left to our very very nice and fancy hotel room
